Portico West End Facilities

The nursery is all on one level, so it is accessible to all. We look after children aged 0-5 years in two rooms, including our lovely, new and comfortable baby room and a large open plan 2-5’s room.

We have a large, secure outdoor area and access to the conservation area within the school, which the children enjoy using for den building and “Going on a bear hunt”. Our lovely sensory room helps children to relax and have small key group times.

Children can explore in our extensive outdoor area, investigate in our bug hunting area and get very messy in our mud kitchen!

Our Early Years Professional supports staff with planning effectively for the children and we provide an exciting, stimulating environment using “Tiny Tweeties”, for music and movement sessions to support good listening, early language and gross motor skills.

Weekly visits to the conservation area and picnics for which pre school prepare their own snacks to develop self-help skills and strong fine motor skills
