Portico Kindergarten Facilities

Our Baby Room is registered for nine babies and has a separate nappy room and milk room. Each child is given their own individual drawer to store any belongings such as nappies, wipes and any comforters they may need. The room has two large floor to ceiling windows to let in natural light, giving wonderful views of the playground and field. At the entrance we have a separate garden just for babies, which has astro turf, decking seats and tyres planted with a range of herbs and fruits.

Double floor to ceiling windows are also a feature of our 2-5’s room letting in an abundance of natural light. Access to the outdoor area is by two back doors giving the children free flow access to the outdoor environment. It is set out to encourage the children to explore and investigate with lots of dens, houses, a mini beast area, fairy glen and even a mud kitchen with a large climbing frame to encourage large motor skills.

 The bright modern toilets are specially designed for young children and are fitted with small toilets, low level sinks and hand dryers.

Our Live Bird CCTV Camera

We have a bird box out in our garden which has a camera inside, we have seen a few birds come and go but this one keeps coming back almost everyday and has started to make a nest. The children (and staff) LOVE it please follow this link to youtube to see a live video of the bird in the box.
