Portico Nursery Group celebrated at the Nursery Management Today Awards 2018

Portico Nursery Group celebrated at the Nursery Management Today Awards 2018 held in London.

Family owned Portico Nursery Group were finalists for three awards, the Nursery Operations Director Award, The Nursery Group Award, and The Manager of The Year Award. They were delighted when Clare Eccles, Senior Manager at Portico at Moss Bank based in St Helens won Manager of The Year at this prestigious event. Following testimonies from parents/carers and a formal interview in November, the judges commented,

“Clare showed a passion and commitment to making a real difference to the children in her care - this is her main motivation. Given the opportunity to make a significant change to national childcare practice she said that she would diminish red tape and bureaucracy and allow practitioners to spend more time playing with children. Her desire to help families flourish was evident.”

Director Nicole Politis said, “We are delighted that Clare’s outstanding work has been recognised by the highly competitive NMT Awards. Clare is a very modest childcare professional who genuinely goes the extra mile for all the children and families in her care. We are so proud the NMT judges agree Clare’s work is exceptional.”

My little boy has loved every minute of going to Portico Kindergarten. Two years ago, we moved over 300 miles and his transition from his old nursery to this nursery was amazing. Jane made everything about the move so smooth and she has been a star from his first day to his last. The staff at Portico all care about every individual child and build the best relationships with them. He has flourished in his time at portico and has really become a strong, confident little man and without the Portico love I don’t think he would be the person he is today. The encouragement and love that they show to both the children and parents is beyond what you would expect from a nursery and I would recommend them to everyone.

Two of my three children have been to this nursery and I cannot begin to explain how brilliant they are, Both my daughters have had problems with their confidence but they have come on leaps and bounds with the help of the caring staff. They go above and beyond with the children in order to get them ready for school. I love that they do the daily mile and the home learning they send home. Highly recommend Portico Moss Bank! My son who is ten this year came here and now my nearly 3 year old does. He has thrived so much since starting Portico a year ago. The nursery and toddler room are bright and colourful, full of toys and activities to keep children’s brains active. The staff are amazing and the love they have for my son makes it a pleasure handing him over! They have helped potty train him and with their help he is now 10 weeks without nappies! I just can’t thank them enough! Oh and the food always smells and looks amazing!

Choosing a nursery seemed so hard but then I went to Portico Kindergarten in Aughton. Since my daughter has attended her speech, manners and personality has improved, she enjoys the learning environment so much.
